A Theatre Costumer creates the costumes for the stage as well as film and television. What's needed? An artistic sensibility, "outside the box" thinking, and the ability to problem-solve.

A Theatre Costumer/Wardrober creates the costumes used in theatre, film, and television. You'll work closely with the director and producer to create convincing wardrobes for characters, and do historical research to ensure authenticity.
Head of Wardrobe works with the designer to plot out where and when costume changes take place, oversee a staff of dressers who assist the actors, make emergency costume repairs, and oversee costume maintenance.
Shoppers are employed by costume shops or designers to shop for selections of fabric, trims, clothing, and accessories for a theatre production.
