We asked FIDM alums, “What was your favorite back to school outfit and why?”
“When I was in elementary school (in a uniform by the way), the only way you could express yourself was through your shoes! So, when the trend flowed through my school that clogs were the must have "cool girl" shoes, I of course, had to have them! My parents told me that if I learned my times tables that summer, they would reward me with the clogs! I guess that was the most memorable outfit because, I worked so hard for those clogs and, I got to wear them on my first day of fifth grade. In essence, these were my first pair of heels and I never went back!”

“The most memorable back to school outfit I can remember hails from my junior high years. I wore pale, wide-leg denim jeans from a thrift shop in Louisiana that I embellished with zig-zag hems trimmed in royal blue, ric-rac, and matching homemade tassels. I paired these “jean genies” with silver faux croc loafers.”

“I would have to say my saddle back Ditto’s I think they were in white or blue. They were really hip jeans back in the day. The funny thing is I was on the ShopIntuition.com website and I noticed that Ditto Jeans are making a comeback!”
